3. Mathematical Fractions and Expressions

Clicking the icon () in the Quick Access toolbar opens a pop-up tool to insert mathematical fractions and expressions.

Step 1: Select the desired expression.


Step 2: Add numbers and characters in the boxes.


Step 3: After the expression is finalized, select “Insert" and the expression appears in the content.



The following are the mathematical expressions available in the pop-up tool:

Fraction: To insert a fraction in your article, select the Tab marked below the red arrow as follows:



Operator Symbols: To insert an Operator Symbol in your article, select the Tab marked below the red arrow as follows:



Logic Symbols: To insert a Logic Symbol in your article, select the Tab marked below the red arrow as follows:



Arrow Symbols: To insert a Arrow Symbol in your article, select the Tab marked below the red arrow as follows:



Greek Character: To insert a Greek Character in your article, select the Tab marked below the red arrow as follows:




Matrix: To insert a Matrix in your article, select the Tab marked below the red arrow as follows:



Exponent and Base: To insert an Exponent and Base in a math expression, select the Tab marked below the red arrow as follows:



Vector Symbol: To insert a Vector Symbol in a math expression, select the Tab marked below the red arrow as follows:



Summation/Product Symbol (Sigma/capital pi): To insert a Summation/Product Symbol in a math expression, select the Tab marked below the red arrow as follows:



Calculus &_Analysis Symbol: To insert a Calculus & Analysis Symbol in a math expression, select the Tab marked below the red arrow as follows:



Trigonometry Function: To insert Trigonometry Function in a math expression, select the Tab marked below the red arrow as follows:



Hyperbolic Trigonometry Function: To insert Hyperbolic Trigonometry Function in a math expression, select the Tab marked below the red arrow as follows:



Edit Function: To insert brackets Function in a math expression, select the Tab marked below the red arrow as follows:
